Environmental and Quality Policy

Thames Loose Leaf takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously and is committed to the efficient & effective use of resources in order to minimise its impact on the environment. We continually strive to reduce our carbon footprint and have worked with the Carbon Trust to gain ISO14001 accreditation. We make efforts to recycle as much waste as possible and all Plastic & up to 80% of other waste is now being re-used rather than going to landfill sites.

We urge all of our customers to recycle products once they reach the end of their useful life.

We have also established links with the Essex Wildlife Trust and support its local work by means of corporate sponsorship and encouraging our staff to actively take part in Essex Wildlife events. We regard our environmental responsibilities as high priority and will continue to maintain and improve on our current standards for today and future generations.
Environmental and Quality Policy

The Directors of Thames Loose Leaf Ltd. are committed to operating an established Environmental and Quality System, which is constantly reviewed, developed and maintained.

The Environment and Quality System is an integral part of the management activity within the Company and is implemented through a comprehensive set of operating procedures and controls. These are documented in accordance with
BS EN ISO 14001:2004 and BS EN ISO9001:2008 and are managed both by Management and the employees who are committed to continually improve the effectiveness of the environmental and quality system. The Directors require the active co-operation of all members of staff to ensure the maintenance and improvement of quality of our produce and the environmental impact of our activities.

The Company recognises its’ responsibility to the protection of the environment and issues this policy statement as a commitment of both Management and employees in reducing the environmental impact of its operations.

To produce a high quality product at a competitive price
To ensure that work entrusted to the Company is turned around quickly and efficiently in accordance with delivery dates specified at the outset

Fully understanding our environmental impacts and monitoring and reduction of adverse impacts of our operations on the environment and local community
The implementation of a business-specific Environmental Management System to meet the requirements of ISO 14001
The integration of appropriate environmental responsibilities into relevant job descriptions
Developing objectives and targets and independently monitoring and reporting annually on our progress, to ensure continual improvement of our environmental performance
Demonstrating the efficient use of raw materials, as well as taking appropriate opportunities to minimise waste and re-use and recycle wherever possible
Raising awareness of staff, suppliers and contractors to ensure effective management of our environmental impacts
Working in partnership with our clients, suppliers and contractors to promote, where practicable, the adoption of best practice environmental management techniques, including supply chain management and to deliver high quality services.
Working with the communities in which we operate to ensure, where practicable, that improvement of the quality of life in areas in which we operate is achieved.
